Bonjour Brand is co-hosting the Chuxiong Intangible Cultural Relics Fashion Show at Paris Fashion Week

PARIS, October 7, 2024–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Chinese organizations held a traditional fashion show with cultural relics at the 2024 Paris Fashion Week here on September 26.

The exhibition was led by the China Foreign Languages ​​Publishing Administration (CIGC), the Chinese Embassy in France and the Information Office of the People’s Government of Yunnan Province, and was organized by the CIGC Center of the International Communication and Development Center of the People’s Government of Chuxiong Yi Autonomous Prefecture co-sponsored. Yunnan Province, European Times Culture Media Group and China-Europe Culture and Art Education Federation.

Also invited to the event were representatives from the Chinese Embassy in France, UNESCO, the French Ministry of Culture, the French Fashion Association, as well as nearly 100 representatives of Chinese and French fashion and art circles, companies and media organizations.

This year, China and France celebrate the 60th anniversary of their diplomatic relations and also mark the occasion as the China-France Year of Culture and Tourism. This milestone year promises a wealth of bilateral cultural exchange activities.

As part of a series of activities to celebrate the anniversary, this show seeks to promote Chuxiong Yi’s embroidery culture and skillfully combines China’s intangible elements with modern fashion, aiming to make a positive contribution to promoting cultural exchanges and mutual learning between China and France, build a platform for exchange and dialogue between the Chinese, European and French cultural and artistic communities and further implement the global civilization initiative.

Through this fashion exhibition, Chuxiong Prefecture showed the charm of Chuxiong Yi embroidery to the world and made active efforts to promote the high-quality development of the distinctive cultural industry of Yi embroidery.

This event is also the first time that Chuxiong Yi’s embroidery appeared on the stage of Paris Fashion Week. It was on stage at New York Fashion Week and Milan Fashion Week.
