Mothers of NewJeans Members Accuse HYBE of ‘Covering Up’ Bullying Against Hanni; Claim CCTV clip missing

Amid the ongoing feud between HYBE and former ADOR CEO Min Hee Jin, the mothers of NewJeans have made new allegations against the company. Previously, Hanni revealed in an unexpected live appearance that she was being bullied by a HYBE manager, and when this was reported to the current CEO of ADOR, Kim Joo Young, she received no help from her and was rather scolded for it had complained.

According to recent reports, in an interview with Kim Joo Young, the mothers of NewJeans members claimed that the CCTV footage related to bullying against Hanni had disappeared. “How can it be that only the video of Hanni greeting members of another group remains, while the video with the problematic ‘ignore’ remark was deleted?” the mothers said.

The member’s mother stated that Hanni’s mother initially told them about the incident in May, but since the ADOR board had already changed at that time and it was a problem with a different name, former CEO Min Hee Jin don’t do anything about it. She was allegedly cornered.

She continued that despite the difficulties, they continued to protest and asked the current CEO for help. “However, they just stalled time and eventually came back with a response that the key material in question had been deleted,” she claimed.

The mother of another NewJeans member said that although they raised the issue in June, there had been no investigation. But now that they have announced they will review the CCTV, the clips have disappeared.

Another parent shared additional details and said that there was email proof that we had requested the CCTV clip. “However, we were told that the CCTV footage was deleted after 30 days and when we requested its restoration, they claimed it was technically difficult,” she added.

She also pointed out that not all clips were reportedly deleted. The one in which Hanni greeted the group and their manager remained in the warehouse while the alleged derogatory remark she received was deleted.

They also questioned HYBE’s stance on this multi-label issue. “They were looking for related materials from Belift Lab,” one member’s mother claimed, saying that ADOR should have purchased it directly since it was a workplace harassment case. They also expressed concern that this incident could ultimately be covered up by HYBE.
