League of Women Voters to host election forums in October | Local News

For voters interested in learning more about local races and voting issues, election forums will be held four evenings in October in Carson City.

The League of Women Voters is partnering with Sierra Nevada Forums and AAUW Capital – Nevada Branch to present the free forums.

The forums take place on four different evenings; Doors open at 5:30 p.m. and forums begin at 6 p.m. each evening. They take place at the Brewery Arts Center Performance Hall in Carson City.

The discussion topics for each evening are:

• October 7th:
  Questions about Carson City’s local vote on road funding
  Mayor of the City of Carson
  Carson City Board of Supervisors – District 2
  Carson City Board of Supervisors – District 4
• October 9th:
  District Court Judge
  Carson City School District Trustee – District 2
  Carson City School District Trustee – District 5
  Carson City School District Trustee – District 7
  Assembly District 40
• October 14th:
  Voting problems
  Voting question 7
  Voting question 3
• October 16:
  U.S. House of Representatives – District 2
  Voting question 1
  Voting question 2
  Voting question 4
  Voting question 5
  Voting question 6

In-person early voting takes place from October 19th to November 1st, with Election Day being November 5th.
