Man arrested for allegedly firing gun inside home

SOUTH JORDAN — A man is in custody Sunday night after police said he allegedly fired a gun inside a home.

According to Officer Shaun Becker of the South Jordan Police Department, police were called to the home at 9536 S. Caledonia Circle around 8:15 p.m.

Becker didn’t know at the time whether there were other people in the house. However, he said there were no injuries.

A protective order was in effect for a time, but was lifted once the suspect was taken into custody.

The incident remains under investigation. According to Becker, further information will be released on Monday.
