Officers investigate fatal shooting outside Orangeburg apartment complex

ORANGEBURG, SC (WIS) – Officers are investigating a deadly shooting outside an Orangeburg apartment complex, according to the Times and Democrat.

According to the Orangeburg Department of Public Safety, the shooting happened along Wolfe Trail just after 10 p.m. Friday.

Police say the victim was arguing with his girlfriend and when the suspect tried to intervene, the victim punched the suspect.

The suspect then went to his apartment, got a gun and shot the victim. According to authorities, the victim died at the scene.
