Billings police are investigating a fatal house fire

BILLINGS – Billings police and firefighters responded to a house fire in the 1000 block of North 25th Street just before 2:30 p.m. Sunday.

A deceased man was found at the residence at 1002 N. 25^Th Street.

Witnesses said they heard a loud bang before seeing flames coming from the house. Moderate damage to the home was reported.

Police, firefighters and alcohol, tobacco and firearms were on site. The investigation into the cause of the fire is still ongoing. 10th Ave. N. was closed between N. 25th and N. 26th but has been reopened to traffic.
