The Toledo Rockets and the Buffalo Bulls meet on Saturday in college football at UB Stadium. Here is a prediction between Buffalo and Toledo. We’ll look at this from a betting perspective and determine the best choice between Buffalo and Toledo.

Toledo Rockets betting preview

Toledo opened the 2024 season with three solid wins. The Rockets defeated Duquesne 49-10 and then beat UMass 38-23. Game three was a 41-17 win over Mississippi State. Toledo’s first loss came on September 21 against Western Kentucky, 26-21.

Last weekend against Miami-OH, Toledo jumped out to a 20-6 lead in the second half and secured the win 30-20. Tucker Gleason finished the game with 318 passing yards, two TDs and two picks. Jerjuan Newton caught eight balls for 127 yards and one TD.

Buffalo Bulls betting preview

On the Buffalo side, they won three of their first four games. The only blemish was a 0:38 loss against Missouri. Otherwise, the Bulls defeated Lafayette 30-13, UMass 34-3 and Northern Illinois 23-20 (OT) to start 3-1.

On September 28th against UConn, Buffalo suffered a significant defeat. The Bulls gave up double-digit points in every quarter for a score of 47-3. Quarterback CJ Ogbonna threw for just 82 yards and also led the rush with 14 carries for 38 yards.

Buffalo vs Toledo Prediction

I’ll just stick with Toledo. The Rockets had some fielding issues last weekend against a struggling Miami-OH team, but everything worked out. Toledo finished the game with 396 total yards (318 passes) and 25 first downs, but only managed 5 of 14 third-down attempts and incurred six penalties. In practice there is a lot to fix this week.

Buffalo had a little more time to recover from the tough loss to UConn. The Bulls totaled just 198 yards (123 passes) with 12 first downs and 1 of 14 attempts on third downs in the game. The defense allowed a whopping 537 yards (280 passes) on the other side. This should be a much easier matchup, but I don’t think the Bulls can quite score.
