Cat and dog died in Colchester fire

COLCHESTER, CT (WFSB) – A cat and dog died in a fire in Colchester late Saturday evening.

Officials say the fire started on Elm Street.

A cat and two kittens managed to escape the fire. Eight residents were displaced.

No injuries to any persons were reported.

The house was significantly damaged and is considered uninhabitable.
