Inter’s Marcus Thuram overcomes injury scare and remains in France squad

Accordingly L’EquipeMarcus Thuram (27) has overcome an injury scare and retains his place in the France squad ahead of the upcoming international break. The Inter striker had to be substituted after apparently suffering an injury to his right ankle in the 3-2 win against Torino.

Thuram was in top form during the game against the Turin club as he scored all three goals and won the game for the Nerrazurri. However, the almost perfect evening was marred by a possible injury. Medical tests carried out on Sunday revealed that the former Guingamp striker had not suffered any injury.

Due to the positive medical tests, Thuram will travel to Clairefontaine on Monday to meet up with his Les Bleus teammates before the international break. France will take part in the UEFA Nations League during the break and prepare for meetings with Belgium and Israel.
