One dead after motorcycle accident in Lackawanna County

Spring Brook Township, Lackawanna Co. – A man died in a motorcycle accident in Lackawanna County just before 2:30 p.m. Saturday.

According to Pennsylvania State Police, 23-year-old Ryan Ayers of Kingston was killed in the accident.

Ayers was traveling east on Route 502 and rounded a curve before entering the westbound lane.

Ayers then struck the left front side of a 2004 Chevrolet 2500 HD that was traveling westbound on Route 502.

The driver of the 2004 Chevy was taken to the hospital for his injuries.

Pennsylvania State Police continue to investigate the crash.
