One person has been injured in a shooting in Huntsville

HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (WAFF) – One person was injured in a shooting in Huntsville Sunday morning.

According to Huntsville Police, the incident occurred around 6:27 a.m. on the 4400 block of University Drive.

Authorities said officers found a victim with a gunshot wound at the scene.

Police said the victim required hospital treatment and was expected to survive.

The police assume that this is an isolated incident. No suspect information is currently available.

Huntsville Police continue to actively investigate the incident.
