Police arrest wanted criminal

RAWALPINDI, Oct 6 (APP): Police on Sunday arrested a wanted criminal involved in a February 2024 murder and attempt to murder case.

Hazrat Wali is said to have killed Noor Alam and injured two others, Jameel and Anwar, in the incident.

According to the police spokesman, Wali had been on the run since the attack. Police tracked him down using multiple resources, including human intelligence.

An employee of Wali, who was also involved in the crime, is already in custody.

SP Pothohar Nasir Nawaz praised the police team. Taxila said the arrested suspects would be charged with strong evidence and would face strict punishment.

The SP stressed that the police take strict action against criminals, especially in heinous cases like murder.

He made it clear that the primary duty of the police was to protect people’s lives and property.
