Regular police investigate after a shooting near a youth soccer game

The Normal Police Department is investigating a shooting Saturday in the area of ​​Lincoln and Beech streets.

The shooting reportedly occurred around 5:47 p.m. Police found evidence of a shooting in the area.

According to NPD, no injuries were reported and there is no threat to the public. The NPD is looking for suspects.

The Twin City Tiger Football Facebook page, which represents the nonprofit youth football program, reported an “incident today at our varsity game where shots were fired.”

“Everyone is safe and there were no injuries,” the statement said. “Normal PD responded quickly and is investigating the situation.”
