Dallas Cowboys and Pittsburgh Steelers odds, tips and predictions

Dallas Cowboys and Pittsburgh Steelers odds, tips and predictions

The Dallas Cowboys (2-2) and Pittsburgh Steelers (3-1) meet in their Week 5 game on Sunday night. Kickoff at Acrisure Stadium is scheduled for 8:20 p.m. ET (NBC/Peacock). Let’s analyze BetMGM Sportsbook’s 24/7 NFL odds Cowboys vs. Steelers odds, and meet our expert NFL picks and predictions.

With a 20-15 win over the New York Giants in Week 4, the Cowboys ended a two-game losing streak, extended their lead, and went under the total score of 45 points. QB Dak Prescott was efficient, completing 22 of 27 passes for 221 yards and 2 touchdowns, including 98 yards and 1 score for WR CeeDee Lamb. However, Dallas’ run game continues to struggle, averaging just 75.3 yards per game, the lowest in the NFL, which is a concern moving forward.

The Steelers lost to the Colts 27-24 as 2.5-point away favorites. QB Justin Fields delivered his best performance with 312 passing yards and a TD, along with 55 rushing yards and 2 scores. WR George Pickens had his first 100-yard receiving game (7 catches for 113 yards).

Cowboys at Steelers picks and predictions

forecast

Steelers 20, Cowboys 13

Money line

HAPPEN.

The Steelers (-145) were humbled in Indianapolis last week. They will take advantage of the prime time game and beat a very weak Cowboys team. But I’ll put my bet on the spread.

Against the spread

BET STEELERS -2.5 (-110).

Pittsburgh’s loss to the Colts brought some promising moments with 404 yards of offense and 23 first downs. A slow start and a few turnovers cost them, but they are in a good position to get back on their feet.

Meanwhile, Dallas didn’t exactly shine against the Giants. They had 11 penalties and just 293 yards of total offense, including just 80 rushing yards. The defense is now riddled with injuries and will be without Parsons and Lawrence for this game. I like covering Pittsburgh here at home.

Over/Under

BET UNDER 44 (-110).

Taking the Under seems like a good choice. Their last four meetings have split the standings and recent trends are leaning toward a defensive battle. The Cowboys offense struggled against an underperforming Giants team and now faces a stingy Pittsburgh defense that is allowing just 13.3 points per game. Additionally, the Steelers have reached the under in 5 of their last 6 home games against NFC teams, and have remained under in 3 of their last 4 overall. This game seems primed for a low scoring affair.
