Appeal following “targeted” stabbing in Leigh-on-Sea

Police are looking for witnesses after a stabbing in a coastal town.

Essex Police said they were called to reports that a man in his 20s had been found with stab wounds on Rayleigh Road in Leigh-on-Sea at around 4:30pm BST on Saturday.

It was reported that the man was chased by four men who arrived in two vehicles, one of which was believed to be a red four-wheel drive.

The victim was taken to the hospital and his injuries were not life-threatening, police said.
