Mamie Laverock thanks fans after reuniting with When Calls the Heart co-stars amid fall recovery

Hallmark star Mamie Laverock shared a message of gratitude to her fans as she continues to recover after falling five stories from a hospital balcony in May.

The 20-year-old shared the news in a short video on her official Facebook page on Thursday “When the heart calls” The actress, who returned home from the hospital in August, thanked her fans for their letters of support.

“Thank you so much for these beautiful cards,” Laverock, who was seen lying in bed, said in the clip.

“There are so many, and I love them all so much,” she added, holding up a stack of cards with a smile. “Thank you very much.”

Laverock played nursing student Rosaleen Sullivan on “When Calls the Heart” for three seasons.

Earlier this week, Laverock shared a photo of herself reuniting with her co-stars from the show, including Erin Krakow, Jack Wagner, Kevin McGarry, Andrea Brooks, Kavan Smith, Pascale Hutton and Chris McNally.

In the picture, taken at Hallmark’s Hearties Family Reunion event in September, Laverock was seen using a walker and making heart symbols with her hands while posing with other cast members.

“At the end of every rainbow is a pot of gold,” she wrote in the caption she uploaded to Facebook on Tuesday.

“Back to the warm glow of the When Calls The Heart reunion,” Laverock added. “I love you.”

Laverock also shared Wagner’s post with the same image. “A picture says more than 1000 words!” Wagner wrote in the caption with emojis of 100 and a red heart.

“I love this entire cast to no end. Thank you very much,” Laverock commented on the post.

According to a GoFundMe crowdfunding campaign launched in May, the actress was on life support after she fell from a balcony weeks after suffering an undisclosed “medical emergency.”

In an update to her GoFundMe page in June, her family wrote: “Her body is shattered. She has undergone two 11-hour surgeries with two doctors, a three-hour surgery and another surgery today. We are just grateful to the doctors and nurses who have taken exemplary care of them since May 26th.”

They added that Laverock “endured tremendous pain.”

“All we can do is hold on to the miracles of each day and continue to thank everyone for their prayers and marvel at the wonders of their story,” they said online. “Our daughter loves her life and her family and fights hard every day.”

Months after the fall, Laverock celebrated a milestone. In a video shared on Facebook in early August, the actress was seen standing and walking.

“Thank you surgeon, thank you prayers, thank you Lord. Mamie just took her first steps,” reads the caption alongside the clip.

Laverock had been in intensive care for two weeks before the fall and was “escorted from a secure section of the hospital and taken to a balcony walkway from which she fell five stories.”

“She suffered life-threatening injuries, required multiple extensive surgeries and is currently on life support,” her parents, Nicole and Rob Compton, previously said online.

Laverock’s family celebrated her return from the hospital in an August update on her Facebook page.

“Dreams do come true,” the post says. “Welcome home, Mommy.”

The post included a photo of a cake for the actress and a sign that read, “Home Sweet Home.”

“She is still seriously injured, but we will take care of her privately,” said a comment on the Facebook page. “She had to be home. I’m so happy for her. She made it this far… next chapter. It’s a blessing to have her home.”
