Ohio BCI is investigating officer-involved shooting near Wadsworth

MEDINA COUNTY, Ohio (WOIO) – The Ohio Bureau of Criminal Investigation was called to investigate an officer-involved shooting on Saturday.

According to Press Secretary Steve Irwin of the Ohio Attorney General’s Office, the BCI was commissioned by the Medina County Sheriff’s Office to investigate.

Irwin said the shooting occurred Saturday evening near Wadsworth.

Irwin also released the following statement:

19 News has reached out to the Medina County Prosecutor’s Office and the Medina County Sheriff’s Office for more information on the shooting, but we have not yet heard back.
