A motorcycle accident has closed several lanes of I-40, Knoxville police said

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) – Knoxville Police said a crash involving a motorcycle shut down several lanes of I-40 Saturday evening.

Shortly before 11 p.m. Saturday, KPD said officers were working to clear the scene of a crash between a car and a motorcycle on I-40 West near West Hills.

According to KPD, the motorcyclist was seriously injured. The car also overturned, but the driver was not seriously injured.

No further information was released.
