Donald Glover announced he has canceled his US, European and UK legs New world tour in the midst of a health crisis.

After canceling his August 24 show in Arizona due to technical problems, Glover later also canceled his September 8 show in Houston due to medical reasons. The day after, he announced on X, formerly Twitter, that the North American tour would be postponed.

“Hello everyone. Unfortunately I have to postpone the rest of the North American tour to focus on my physical health for a few weeks. Keep your tickets,” he said. “ALL tickets for upcoming North American dates will be honored if rescheduled. Thanks for the privacy. Thanks for the support. Thank you for the love.”

On October 4, the “3004” rapper announced that he was canceling his tour entirely due to a health issue he discovered after his show in New Orleans.

“After my show in New Orleans, I went to the hospital in Houston to confirm that I had an obvious medical condition,” he explained. “After assessment it became clear that I would not be performing that evening and after further testing I was unable to complete the remainder of the US tour in the required time. Surgery is planned at the moment and I need some time off to heal.”

I need to get serious about my road to recovery. With this in mind, we have made the difficult decision to cancel the remainder of the North American tour, as well as the UK and European dates. Tickets will be refunded upon purchase.

Although he opened up about what caused the cancellation, he asked fans for “love, privacy and support.”

Fans of Glover and his rap identity Childish Gambino were delighted to see him return to music after dominating the big screen with his award-winning show Atlanta.
