Philadelphia officer injured after car hits squad car on Luzerne Street: Police

PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) — A Philadelphia police officer was injured in a crash Saturday.

It happened just after 5:30 p.m. in the 700 block of Luzerne Street when the officer was responding to a 911 call, authorities say.

There is no information about what the priority call is related to.

According to police, the officer’s patrol vehicle was hit by another car. The patrol car reportedly sustained damage on the passenger side.

The officer involved was taken to Temple University Hospital for treatment and is expected to be released.
