Crown Heights dance studio reopens week after quadruple stabbing

Students and faculty at Ms. K’s Dance Academy breathed a sigh of relief Saturday as the doors reopened for registration after a quadruple stabbing occurred there last week.

“You rent out your studio for two to three events just to make ends meet,” explains Kyaisha Max-Macarthy, owner and director of Ms. K’s Dance Academy.

The studio was vandalized and Max-Macarthy had to clean up the mess a week before the season began.

“We were in complete disarray. We had to do a lot this week to prepare for our students,” she said.

There were no arrests.
