The following contains spoilers for Agatha All Along Episode 4, “If I Can’t Reach You, Let My Song Teach You,” now streaming on Disney+.

One of the biggest mysteries in Agatha all the time is the true identity of Teen, who has become the subject of fan theories. This character is a real wild card due to his hidden past.

The teenager was found kidnapped from Agatha’s Westview home, leaving fans wondering how he got there. Even Agatha can’t decipher the truth, or so it seems. He also carries a sealing charm that prevents his true identity from being revealed when he speaks about it. Interestingly, the series may have revealed the twist regarding this young man after just four episodes.

Agatha All Along’s teenager could be Agatha’s son

The teenager could be the boy she gave to Mephisto for the Darkhold

Agatha all the time lets Agatha forge a circle to follow the path of the witches. They will all regain their strength, but will have to overcome trials along the way. As her story unfolds, Agatha’s is the most disturbing. It has been confirmed that Agatha once gave her son away to Mephisto as part of a deal to get the Darkhold. It could well be that Teen is the son who was trying to find his mother.

He asked questions about her past, witchcraft and why she gave her child away. He claims to be a fanboy and was the first to go the witch’s path with her. Through these interactions, you get the feeling that he wants to connect with her emotionally. She has an innate attraction – one he may not be able to understand. But he senses something inexplicable between them.

It could be that she placed the spell to free herself from the guilt. At some point he even asks her that. She denies it, but it is known that Agatha is lying. This could be because she is cheating on him, which Jennifer Kale warned about. It would make Agatha even scarier, but it would also fit her selfish nature.

As seen when she tried to manipulate Wanda Maximoff as the Scarlet Witch, she would do anything to gain power. How he ended up in her house remains to be seen, but the way Agatha fights to save Teen after a demonic attack at the end of Episode 4 feels like she’s forming an emotional bond with him.

“Agatha All Along Could Reimagine Marvel’s Nicholas Scratch”

Nicholas Scratch could be Agatha’s true tribulation

In the comics, Agatha’s son was Nicholas Scratch. He became an evil magician who fought against the Fantastic Four and even tried to use his own version of the Salem Seven – the hunters who pursued Agatha in the series. What’s notable is that he ended up working with Mephisto. Fans think that teen Billy Kaplan aka Wanda’s son is Wicca. However, Nicholas would be a better fit.

He could be a villain, playing his mother like she did Wanda. Mephistopheles as his master would tie in with the books and make Nicholas even more despicable. Agatha has a lot of power to unlock, so Mephisto might want that, while the teenager might want revenge on her for giving him up. Conversely, Teen may not fully understand his connection to her, but the series could take another step out of it and have him act shy and just want her to admit the truth.

Perhaps he was trying to redeem her, believing that she would admit the truth and that she had made a mistake. If she misses him and wants him back, the issue of family comes into play WandaVision. This direction could lead to the Hunters going after Teen as he is the property that needs to be returned to Mephisto. In this way, Teen could be Agatha’s greatest test.

If he did indeed run away, she might be the only person who can save him from Mephisto, the Hunters, or other macabre forces at play. Either way, the deeper the mystery gets, the more potential Teen has, even if Aubrey Plaza’s Rio Vidal thinks he’s someone else. Simply put, this narrative cannot be trusted because of all the misdirection that creates the possibility of Nicholas being retooled in the MCU.

Agatha All Along premieres new episodes on Disney+ on Wednesdays at 9 p.m. ET.
