Milltown crash leaves pedestrian in critical condition, first state update

The criminal investigation department is currently investigating a car accident in which a pedestrian was struck on Friday evening.

Officials said on Friday, October 4, 2024, at 7:13 p.m., patrol officers responded to Milltown Road and Pecksniff Road for an accident investigation. Officers arrived at the scene and located a 58-year-old male victim who had been struck by a 2024 Hyundai Palisade.

The male victim was taken to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries. The driver of the Hyundai, a 42-year-old man, remained at the scene and was not injured. Traffic police investigators later arrived and took over the investigation. It doesn’t appear that speed or alcohol is a factor; However, this remains an active case, police said.
