Bolingbrook man sentenced to 32 years in prison for child sexual abuse

A Bolingbrook man has been sentenced to 32 years in prison for sexually abusing three children.

Francisco Moreno Hernandez, 39, pleaded guilty to two counts of predatory sexual assault of a child and two counts of aggravated sexual abuse.

The Kane County Prosecutor’s Office said the crimes occurred between March 17, 2016 and August 31, 2023. Two of the victims were under 13 years old and the third was under 17 years old.

In addition to the prison sentence, Hernandez must register as a sex offender for life. He must serve 85% of the 26-year sentence for predatory sexual assault and 50% of the six-year sentence for aggravated sexual abuse. The sentences will run one after the other.

Moreno Hernandez will receive credit for 387 days in the Kane County Jail.

“I would like to thank the victims of this heinous crime for showing extreme courage through their actions,” said Deputy Prosecutor Alexandra Storto.
