The coroner opened an inquest into the South Whitehall shooting

The Lehigh County Coroner’s Office was called to a shooting investigation at a home in South Whitehall on Friday.

Police responded to the home in the 3400 block of Cambridge Circle South around 6 a.m. Lehigh County Coroner Daniel A. Buglio confirmed to lehighvalleylive.com shortly after 8 a.m. that he was at the scene.

The coroner’s office only responds to death investigations. Photos showed yellow caution tape around the property.

It is unclear whether anyone is in custody. The Lehigh County District Attorney’s Office could not immediately be reached for further information Friday morning.
