Statewide manhunt in Texas for suspect accused of shooting officer

MEMPHIS, Texas – A nationwide manhunt is underway for a man wanted in the shooting death of a police officer late Thursday night.

A Texas Blue Alert has been issued for 33-year-old Seth Altman, who allegedly shot and killed an officer in Memphis, about 80 miles southeast of Amarillo, according to BNO News. The injured officer was shot multiple times and flown to the hospital. No information on the officer’s condition.

Altman is 6 feet tall, weighs about 220 pounds and has red hair and blue eyes. He was last seen wearing a blue T-shirt and blue jeans.

Altman is considered armed and dangerous. If you see him, call 911. Don’t approach him.

A Blue Alert is issued for suspects accused of killing or seriously injuring a police officer.
