Mother of teen killed in shooting calls for justice

LEBANON, Tenn. (WTVF) — This week, grief is complicated at a mother’s home in Lebanon.

Kerri Kelley sits with a picture of her son Carlos Wills when he decided to be baptized a year ago.

On September 10, 2024, someone found Wills with a gunshot wound on Ash Ridge Drive in Clarksville.

Days later he died.

“You know everything is different in my day, I can’t wake my son but call him and have daily conversations,” Kerri Kelley said. “That was my baby.”

Her son Carlos hosted his homecoming celebration where all his friends talked about the joy he spread.

“That’s what everyone said when they came to his home service: his loyalty, his friendship,” Kelley said.

Carlos’ mother said there is much less joy in Lebanon now.

There are many great schools in our area. Congratulations to four midstate schools that have been recognized with National Blue Ribbons for Academic Excellence. They were among six in Tennessee to receive the honor. They were among 356 schools in the United States recognized by the U.S. Department of Education!
