Great British Bake Off’s Jeff is poking fun at his dramatic exit from the show after just two episodes

Great British Bake Off Contestant Jeff, who left the show’s latest season after just two episodes, has spoken about his experience on the baking competition while also making fun of his early exit.

The former university lecturer, who suffered from illness during the first episode’s “Cake Week”, had decided “I’ve had enough” in the show’s latest episode.

Speaking to presenter Alison Hammond, the 57-year-old said: “I’m done” because she felt unwell for the second week in a row. Hammond comforted Jeff and said, “You tried, man. You tried.”

In a new appearance The Great British Bake Off: An additional piece On Thursday (October 3), Jeff, who is originally from Brooklyn, appeared alongside the other previously eliminated baker, 71-year-old Hazel.

Speaking to host Jo Brand, Jeff immediately cracked a joke about his brief appearance on the show. When he sat down for the interview, he said, “I’m done. “Sorry, I’m out of here,” which drew huge laughter from the audience.

Brand then asked Jeff about an awkward moment between him and judge Paul Hollywood, who tried to say “coffee” in the stereotypical New York accent. The comedian asked him: “That’s when you decided you’d had enough?”

Laughing, Jeff replied, “I ran. That was it. I had enough.”

Although Jeff said he was miserable on the show, he’s “better” now, revealing he’s still baking and “busy planning the wedding cake for my son’s wedding.”

After his dramatic exit, Jeff wrote a letter that he posted on the show’s X/Twitter account: “The Bake was an amazing and challenging experience of my life.”

He added: “Although I couldn’t last long, I had the pleasure of meeting all the incredible bakers from Series 15. What a wonderful group of people and they were excellent bakers too.”

Jeff concluded the note by saying, “The production team is made up of the nicest, hardest working people you will ever meet.” They are so supportive and positive. All the best, always, Jeff, with all your good wishes!”

Episode two of the latest season of Bake was full of chaos.

Aside from Jeff quitting, 31-year-old midwife Illiyin, who impressed the judges in the first episode, told the crew she was “a bit dizzy” before paramedics helped her to the floor and put her in the recovery position became.

The final drama came when Dylan fell from his chair, causing Essex car mechanic Andy to exclaim: “They’re dropping like flies!”
