Wife and two-year-old son die in traffic accident

In a heartbreaking incident, a 26-year-old woman and her two-year-old son died after being hit by a truck near Shamshabad on Tuesday. The accident occurred when the driver lost control of the speeding truck which veered off the road and hit the mother and child who were walking on the road.

The victims, who were Gurpreet Kaur and her son, were killed instantly. Eyewitnesses reported that the truck driver immediately fled the scene after the accident, leaving the victims on the road.

Harjit Singh of Phillaur police station reached the spot and initiated an investigation into the matter. An attempt was made to locate the truck driver. Police said the driver will be arrested soon.

The tragic accident left the local community in shock, with many residents expressing their sadness and anger over the incident. Gurpreet Kaur’s family is devastated and demands strict road safety measures. The victims’ bodies were taken to a local hospital for autopsy.
