At least one person seriously injured in pedestrian accident on E. California Avenue: BPD

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KBAK/KBFX) – UPDATED (7:53 p.m., OCTOBER 3, 2024)

Bakersfield police officers are investigating a serious injury crash involving a pedestrian in east Bakersfield Thursday evening. An official said one man suffered serious injuries, but the extent of his injuries was unknown.

Officials said they responded to a crash on East California Avenue and Dr. just before 7:30 p.m. Martin Luther King, Jr. Boulevard. At least one person suffered serious injuries.

The area is expected to be opened to traffic in the coming hours.
