A 29-year-old mother was stabbed to death by a woman in broad daylight during a feud at a Bronx bodega on Thursday, police and witnesses said.

Gwendolyn Guyton was at the Jose Mini Market Inc. at Southern Boulevard and East 149th Street when a rival stormed in, fought with her and then plunged a knife into her neck and torso several times around 3:15 p.m., according to police and witnesses.

A bodega employee desperately tried to stop the bloodshed.

“I was trying to save the girl and get her out of the store at the same time before she got stabbed,” said Alex, who works at the Longwood deli.

“I tried to get them out when they were fighting, when they were fistfighting. But when I saw the knife, I tried to help the victim.”

Alex and a colleague held Guyton’s injured body while they waited for paramedics to arrive.

Witness Mario Marrero stumbled upon the grisly scene outside the store.

“It was in front of the store,” Marrero said. “She was just lying there, just covered in blood. It was all over my body.”

Guyton was taken to Lincoln Medical Center but could not be saved.

Her killer fled the store on a white bicycle and has not yet been caught, police said.

Resident Shelby Miller said Guyton often bought cigarettes at the bodega and had a son.

“She doesn’t deserve this,” Miller said. “Whatever she did, no one deserved to be killed like this.”
