Pastor arrested, charged and fired after allegedly stealing nude photos of church members during life group

Gabriel Mills, 41, was fired from his position as guest experience pastor at Journey Church in Kenosha, Wisconsin, and arrested after allegations were made against him Send photos drawing attention to a woman from her husband’s phone without her consent. The victim and his family are members of the church.

Mills, a father of five who has been married to his wife Serah for more than 20 years, was arrested Sept. 23 after authorities obtained a search warrant for his phone.

The incident allegedly occurred during a life group meeting at Mills’ home. Mills asked to use the victim’s husband’s phone during the meeting to download an audiobook application that Mills wanted to share with the husband. The husband is an employee of the Racine Police Department.

According to the criminal complaint filed Oct. 2, Mills searched for intimate photos of the church member’s wife over the phone and sent them to himself via AirDrop.

The victim said that after completing the life group, she found out that Mills had sent herself the photos. She saw Mills holding his phone in a way he didn’t want others to see. After speaking to Mills, the woman explained, “He lowered his hand and his phone to his side and [she] Could see a picture of it displayed on the phone [herself] She posed for the camera in thong-style underwear with her waist bent forward.”

The victim recognized the photo as one she had sent to her husband.

The victim then explained that she became angry at how this private photo ended up on the website [pastor’s] telephone and [she] was worried what else [Mills] He may have had them on his phone as she had sent other photos to her husband on previous occasions.”

The woman then said she “knocked it out.” [Mills’] Phone that lit up the picture of her in the thong underwear and that again [pastor] looked at his phone and saw something [she] could see.” The victim stated that Mills “became ‘pale as a ghost’ and began shaking and apologizing to her repeatedly.”

Mills then reportedly panicked and begged the woman not to tell his wife. He even tried to block her exit to one of the stairs in his house, telling her that the picture was of his wife and not her.
