Sky Elements breaks Guinness World Record with drone show in Mansfield, Texas

The show surpassed the previous record and thrilled audiences with a breathtaking battle between mythical creatures

Sky Elements Drone Light Shows, in collaboration with the City of Mansfield, set a new Guinness World Record on September 28, 2024 by performing a breathtaking pyrotechnic drone show using 1,164 drones.

This impressive display marked the record for the most remote-controlled multirotor drones firing fireworks simultaneously, surpassing the previous record of 1,068 drones set by Pablo Air, a South Korean exhibitor at the drone expo.

After almost 14 hours of preparation, Guinness World Records juror Natalia Ramirez confirmed the successful record attempt. The event took place at the Mansfield Sports Park where community members gathered to witness this groundbreaking performance that left a lasting impression on everyone in attendance.

The performance, titled “Fire and Ice,” depicted a battle between an ice wolf and a fiery phoenix, illustrating a timeless conflict. As the show continued, the audience watched as the two mythical creatures dramatically collided in the night sky.

As the finale approached, the music faded and the sky darkened, setting the stage for the climactic reveal – all 1,164 drones fired simultaneously, forming the breathtaking image of a phoenix soaring into the air. As the pyrotechnics dimmed, the drones lit up in bright shades of orange and red, symbolizing the rise of the phoenix from the ashes. This stunning image cemented Sky Elements’ success as they celebrated their ninth Guinness World Record.

The show ended with a tribute to Moo Deng, the popular Thai pygmy hippopotamus who has won hearts around the world. This particular section served as a delightful post-credits scene for the audience.
