Scare Tactics comes from Jordan Peele and Monkeypaw Productions and, similar to the 2003 television series of the same name, is a hidden camera comedy-horror television series.

The show “will turn unsuspecting characters into protagonists of their very own horror films,” the series’ official synopsis states. “This immersive show offers a cinematic approach to the concept of the hidden camera. These unsuspecting participants are thrust by their friends and family into hilariously twisted scenarios with completely immersive stories that blur the lines between reality, horror and comedy. As they make one unreal decision after another, audiences will laugh, jump on their feet and be left breathless to learn more.”

Scare Tactics originally premiered on Syfy in 2003 and was co-created by Hallock and Kevin Healey. The series was a relatively big success and ran for five seasons and 114 episodes over a period of ten years.
