SAU police express concern about reported sexual assaults and remind of accompanying program –

News of a sexual assault investigation by the Magnolia Police Department has sparked community concern and prompted a statement from the Southern Arkansas University Police Department.

Magnolia Police previously said the department is investigating a sexual assault reported on Monday, September 30, 2024. She urged Magnolia residents — especially those who live in the northern part of the city — to ensure the doors and windows of their homes are secure.

“Due to the sensitivity of this investigation, no further information will be released at this time. As the investigation progresses, appropriate information will be released,” the statement said.
