How to vote in person on Election Day in Orange County

On Election Day, registered voters will have the opportunity to cast their vote in person. The polling stations will open at 6:30 a.m. and stays open until 7:30 p.m

If You arrive at your polling station aIf voters realize they have forgotten their ID, they can fill out a provisional ballot. In order for a provisional ballot to be counted, voters must present their photo ID to the county elections board the day before the county election.

According to the NC Board of Elections, polling locations tend to be busiest early in the morning and just before polls close. Voters in queue before 7:30 p.m are allowed to vote even if their polling station is closed during the waiting period.
