Gulf Coast Sports & Entertainment Network launches with Pelicans games as the main attraction

MONROE, La. (KNOE) – KNOE-TV is pleased to announce today the launch of The Gulf Coast Sports & Entertainment Network, a new 13-station network offering unparalleled access to sports and entertainment to 9.7 million viewers throughout the Gulf Region becomes southern region. The network’s signature programming is New Orleans Pelicans games.

The Gulf Coast Sports & Entertainment Network, based at WVUE-TV in New Orleans, will broadcast 75 of the New Orleans Pelicans’ 82 regular season games thanks to Gray Media’s recently announced partnership with the team. This strategic collaboration underscores our commitment to providing engaging content to our viewers and supporting local sports.

The Gulf Coast Sports & Entertainment Network will debut its first Pelicans game on Tuesday, October 15th with the preseason finale against the Houston Rockets at 7:00 p.m. CT. The regular season begins on Wednesday, October 23 at the Smoothie King Center when the Pelicans host the Chicago Bulls at 7:00 p.m. CT.

The network will be available wirelessly in all partner markets free of charge via an antenna, ensuring broad access for all fans. Viewers can look forward to broadcasts in the following markets:

In addition to over-the-air availability, the Gulf Coast Sports & Entertainment Network will soon be accessible across multiple cable, satellite and other services, giving fans even more ways to connect with their favorite teams and entertainment content.

The Pelicans’ television broadcast team includes Joel Meyers, who returns to provide play-by-play commentary along with returning color analyst Antonio Davis. Andrew Lopez will join the team as a sideline reporter this season. During home games, Lopez will also host the pregame, halftime and postgame shows alongside analyst Wesley Johnson. For away games, Johnson will work with Erin Summers to host the shows.
