Harsh Sinha, 25, from Bengal, feared that his former boss would prevent him from getting hired elsewhere, an official revealed.

A 25-year-old man who stabbed a BMTC bus driver on a crowded bus in Bengaluru on Tuesday carried the knife with the intention of attacking his former boss who had fired him, Indian Express investigations have revealed.

The Bengaluru BMTC also appreciated the conductor for his alertness on the ground during such an incident.

According to a report, Harsh Sinha has been unemployed and roaming around the city since his dismissal. He feared his former boss would prevent him from being hired elsewhere, an official revealed.

Video of the incident, which occurred in Whitefield on Tuesday evening, went viral on social media platforms. The incident took place near the ITPL bus stand when the 45-year-old conductor of the BMTC bus, Yogesh, asked Sinha to move away from the running board for safety reasons as he was interrupting the boarding and alighting of passengers.

This led to a verbal duel between the duo and Sinha allegedly pulled out a knife from his pocket and stabbed the conductor. The defendant then allegedly tried to threaten other passengers and force them to leave the bus.
