Gulf Coast Sports and Entertainment Network now available

MERIDIAN, Miss. (WTOK) –

WTOK-TV is part of a groundbreaking rights deal to deliver Pelicans basketball games FREE over-the-air to over 4 million households in multiple states, including Mississippi.

All you have to do is scan your TV again.

WTOK-TV is now part of the Gulf Coast Sports & Entertainment Network

You can watch the Pelicans and all types of sports in HD on 15.5 or in SD on 11.5.

“We are excited to offer over 75 LIVE Pelican basketball games to our viewers in eastern Mississippi and western Alabama,” said Jacque Harms, vice president and general manager of WTOK-TV.

“We know people want FREE programming, especially live sports programming. “The Pelicans will now be accessible to as many fans as possible from Mississippi to Louisiana and Alabama,” says Harms.

Harms says, “We saw how much fans wanted this past season when the 10 Pelicans games we broadcast had the highest ratings ever for the team.”

The New Orleans Pelicans’ first game will be broadcast live on the Gulf Coast Sports and Entertainment Network on Wednesday, October 23rd at 7 p.m. as the Pelicans take on the Chicago Bulls.

The map shows the geographic reach of the Gulf Coast Sports & Entertainment Network.

This new 13-channel network will provide unparalleled access to sports and entertainment to 9.7 million viewers across the Gulf South region. The network’s signature programming is New Orleans Pelicans games.

Viewers can look forward to broadcasts in the following markets:

o Alexandria – KLGC Channel 25.2

o Baton Rouge – WAFB Channel 9.3

o Lake Charles – KGCH Channel 32.1

In addition to over-the-air availability, the Gulf Coast Sports & Entertainment Network will soon be accessible across multiple cable, satellite and other services, giving fans even more ways to connect with their favorite teams and entertainment content.
