One of the best things about fall is Halloween. What does the holiday bring besides sweets and costumes?

For those brave enough to spook themselves this fall, check out these three haunted houses in the Coastal Bend.

The Haunted House at Boogeyman Haunted House

If you’re looking for a truly spooky experience this Halloween season, head to The Hauntings of Boogeyman, where guests will find new attractions every year that will scare the living daylights out of you. This is no ordinary haunted house and certainly not for the faint of heart. The historical significance of the location on FM 666 means you’ll mingle with the living and undead as you venture through the bogeyman’s closet on your way to the main meeting point and other spooky haunted attractions. The haunted house is wheelchair accessible. Children must be accompanied by an adult and be able to walk through the maze alone.

When: 8:00 p.m. to midnight Fridays and Saturdays from October 4th to November 2nd and Thursday, October 31st

Fright Night Haunted House

Fright Night Haunted House is the ultimate Halloween event. Don’t miss your chance to experience the spooky excitement with brand new attractions and surprises that will keep you on the edge of your seat. Dates and times sell out in advance. So get your tickets early to get the best prices. Be on your guard as there may be scares before entering.

When: 7 p.m. to 11 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays, October 4th to November 2nd, and Thursday, October 31st | 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. Sunday, October 13; Sunday, Oct. 27; and Wednesday, October 30th

Where: 617 Mesquite St., behind Mesquite Street Pizza in downtown Corpus Christi

Haunts the Blue Ghost

The largest haunted house in South Texas and the scariest, most talked-about attraction in Corpus Christi – The Haunting of the Blue Ghost – returns to send shivers down your spine. The USS Lexington Museum and Castle of Terror Productions present a ghost ship experience that takes the bravest souls up ladders and through more than 80 compartments on two decks of this historic aircraft carrier. With terror around every corner, this tour is only for the brave. So join in if you dare. Recommended for children aged 8 and over. Guests must be able to navigate ladders and tight spaces.

When: 7:00 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays from October 4th to November 2nd and Thursday October 31st
