West Belfast sexual assault suspect released – The Irish News

A 48-year-old man arrested in connection with two sexual assaults in west Belfast has been released on bail.

The suspect was arrested in connection with the attacks in the Upper Suffolk Road and Lagmore areas last week.

A man was attacked on Suffolk Road on Sunday after it was reported he made comments to a teenage girl that made her “uncomfortable”.

The following evening, police attended a home in the Lenadoon area after an angry crowd gathered at the address.



Hours earlier, windows and doors of a house in the Ardcaoin district of Polegass were damaged.

Police have linked the attack to reports of an attack on a man on Suffolk Road the previous day.

In a statement, the PSNI said: “A 48-year-old man arrested in connection with two sexual assaults which reportedly took place in west Belfast on Thursday September 26th has been released on bail to attend one to return at a later date for further interrogation.” Date.”
