It’s only been three years since we were introduced to the crazy and demonic world of Hellboundthe cult horror thriller from Train to Busan mastermind Yeon Sang-ho, but eight years have passed since the events of the first season, with the world premiere of the first three episodes of the second season today at the Busan International Film Festival (BIFF).
Hellhound introduced us to a world where the faith and meaning of our existence on Earth is questioned when demons appear and drag people to hell, condemned after receiving “decrees” from strange angelic apparitions.

Originally the poor, condemned souls were thought to be sinners, but human morality was called into question when a newborn child was struck with one of these decrees. The first season ended with the baby barely surviving thanks to his parents’ sacrifice.
