Charges filed after Joplin police pursuit ends in crash – Newstalk KZRG

Multiple charges have been filed against a man who led police on a chase that ended in a crash in Joplin on Wednesday.

It all started around 11:30 a.m. when Joplin police attempted to stop a black passenger car near 7th and Schifferdecker. The suspect refused to stop and led police to Joplin.

The pursuit ended at 20th and Connecticut when the car struck an SUV at the intersection.

The suspect, Dakota BellHe now faces resisting arrest, careless driving, driving under the influence, drug possession and driving with a revoked license.

He is being held without bail in the Joplin city jail.

A woman in his car was taken to a hospital for treatment.

The driver of the SUV was uninjured.
