Vandalism investigations lead to increased police presence at the Douglas Library in Hebron

HEBRON, CT (WFSB) – State Police are investigating vandalism at the Douglas Library.

Authorities were responding to recent complaints about groups of students visiting the library after school and causing damage.

The Hebron Resident Trooper’s Office is investigating incidents involving carvings on wooden bookshelves as well as damage to chairs, tables and sheetrock. In response, police will increase their presence at the library.

Authorities have warned that anyone found responsible for damaging library property will be prosecuted.
