Arrest for assault/stabbing in Cokato Township

A Cokato man was arrested after a man was stabbed in the neck at a residence north of Cokato Tuesday evening in Wright County.

Just after 9 p.m., officers were dispatched to 2717 Nevens AV SW in Cokato Township for a reported assault.

Officers learned the victim had been stabbed in the neck by another household member. The victim suffered a serious injury and was flown to North Memorial Hospital.

Officers collected witness statements as well as evidence from the crime scene that led them to identify the suspect as 24-year-old Julian Hill. He was arrested and booked into the Wright County Jail on a charge of Assault 2nd Degree. Authorities also discovered that he had also violated a previous court protective order.

Formal assault charges are pending.
