Napoli player Victor Osimhen is expected to be out of action for around six weeks after suffering a hamstring strain during his loan spell at Galatasaray.

The striker joined the Turkish outfit on loan in September after failing to find a club willing to both pay his price and meet his wage demands as negotiations with Saudi Pro League sides and Chelsea failed.

He scored his first goals for Galatasaray at the weekend, scoring a brace in the 3-3 draw against Kasimpasa.

However, the Nigeria international also left the field at half-time with a muscle problem that was apparently more serious than previously thought.

Current reports suggest that Osimhen is suffering from a significant hamstring strain in his left leg and is expected to be out for four to six weeks.

Osimhen has a history of injuries

This isn’t exactly news to Napoli fans, as his stay at the Stadio Diego Armando Maradona was also marked by numerous injury-related dismissals.

These included a dislocated shoulder, a severe facial injury – which is why he wears his trademark mask – and repeated muscle problems.
