One person was killed in an accident in Delaware County

HARPERFIELD, N.Y. (WBNG) – One person was killed in a crash on the morning of October 1, according to New York State Police

State police identified the victim as Cameron M. Gaffi, 25, of Franklin, New Jersey.

At approximately 6:45 a.m., troopers responded to the crash on County Highway 29 in the town of Harpersfield.

Police said Gaffi was driving westbound when they left the roadway and struck a tree. The vehicle then burst into flames.

Police said police have yet to determine why Gaffi’s vehicle left the road.

The Stamford Fire Department also responded to the crash.
