According to the IRGC, 200 rockets were fired in an airstrike on Israel

A video published by Tasnim news agency on Wednesday reportedly shows Major General Hossein Salami talking on the phone with Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian in the command room of the military operation.

“200 rockets were fired in this operation,” he said in the call.

The Israeli military claimed its initial estimate was that Iran fired “approximately 180 projectiles.”

The IRGC said in a statement it had targeted “the heart of the occupied territories” in response to the Zionist regime’s martyrdom of Hamas Politburo chief Ismail Haniyeh, Hezbollah Secretary General Seyyed Hassan Nasrallah and IRGC General Abbas Nilforoushan.

The statement said the retaliatory attack was launched after a period of restraint following the violation of Iranian sovereignty.

The IRGC added that it had fired dozens of ballistic missiles at key Israeli military and security targets.

It found that 90 percent of Iranian missiles fired at Israel successfully hit targets, including “strategic centers” in the occupied territories.
