60-year-old man struck and killed in Ocala, police investigating

OCALA, Fla. (WCJB) – A pedestrian was struck and killed in Ocala late Tuesday evening.

According to Ocala police, officers responded to a single-vehicle crash that had struck a pedestrian in the 3700 block of Southwest 27th Avenue.

When police arrived, they found a 60-year-old man dead. Officials said the driver of the vehicle was traveling north on Southwest 27th Avenue and struck the man in the roadway.

The Ocala Police Department is actively investigating the accident.
