‘Daily Show’ trolls JD Vance with blunt reminder of Trump

“The only problem he may have had was his memory,” Kosta said, playing a clip of Vance boasting about higher wages for American workers and “peace and security” around the world during Donald Trump’s presidency.

“Peace all over the world,” Kosta repeated sarcastically. “There wasn’t even peace in this country!”

As Kosta spoke, images of the nationwide unrest under Trump appeared as a reminder of the Ohio senator.

“The only time there was peace was when we were all locked in our house cleaning our vegetables with Clorox wipes,” he said, referring to the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020. “Wipes that I stole from my neighbor and sold it on eBay, increasing my take-home pay, so thank you Donald Trump!”
